OVERALL OBJECTIVE
A key strategic initiative of the Bank is to build out and enhance the Financial Planning & Analysis function to provide business leaders and executive management insightful and actionable guidance that helps Liberty Bank achieve its Strategic Plan. Reporting to the VP of Centralized Reporting and Planning, this critical FP&A System Administrator position will be responsible for administering, maintaining and enhancing the Budgeting/Forecasting/Strategic Planning and management reporting system (Vena.) This position will play a critical role in managing the Budgeting/Forecasting/Strategic Planning and monthly reporting processes.

Reporting to the VP of Centralized Reporting and Planning, this critical FP&A System Administrator position will be responsible for administering, maintaining and enhancing the Budgeting/Forecasting/Strategic Planning and management reporting system (Vena.) This position will play a critical role in managing the Budgeting/Forecasting/Strategic Planning and monthly reporting processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain system security, and own Liberty Bank reporting structure (organizational hierarchy)
- User administration & systems administration – Manage the technical requirements of the financial systems, maintaining back-up protocols, enacting system updates, and develop & document procedures as well as process improvements
- Leverage system capabilities to create efficiencies in Liberty Bank’s annual operating budget process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and monthly management reporting process
- Centralize, automate, enhance and maintain the production of monthly, quarterly and year-end management reporting packages for the lines of business as well as Executive Management
- Partner with the Technology business unit to ensure data integration from multiple sources including the Bank’s core system, data warehouse, and Oracle Financials
- Support the VP of Centralized Reporting & Planning with monthly earnings close process, variance analysis, and creation of monthly earnings package reports
- Actively participate in Finance related special projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Information Systems (with strong Accounting/Finance background)
- 5-7 years Financial Management Reporting experience in a Bank or Financial Services environment
- Specific experience administering/maintaining FP&A management reporting systems with a deep understanding and practical experience in database management, as well as application support
- Practical experience & understanding of data flow – specifically, how Finance systems (GL, management reporting, Treasury, Fixed assets) link with core systems and the data warehouse
- Exceptional data mining, data management and data presentation skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience in organizing and leading Finance processes, including annual budget and monthly forecasting processes
- Experience in monthly business unit financial reporting, forecasting, and annual budget preparation
- Practical understanding of Bank balance sheets, revenue drivers, and reporting methodologies including Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and business line cost allocations
- Excellent communication skills. Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
- Strategic thinking – particularly in terms of how to present different views of data
- Highly organized with ability to work independently
