We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer, Salesforce Commerce Cloud to join our Orchard Brands Team.

The Senior Engineer, Salesforce Commerce Cloud will provide support to the existing Orchard Brands ecommerce platform as well as to be a key team member in the company’s initiative to re-platform 3 B2C websites to Salesforce Commerce Cloud. This position is highly focused in providing support for the Salesforce platform, as well as integrations to backend and other closely related systems. This position will be tasked with actively implementing new solutions to improve business operations while also providing ongoing support and maintenance. The engineer must have experience with the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform, including SFRA.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Lead Engineer’s primary focus will be on front-end systems and their integration to/from backend systems, using full-stack technology to develop new solutions to solve new business needs as they arise.
• Software development experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience, with a multi-site SRFA architecture (Commerce Cloud certification preferred) and eCommerce feeds, integrations and solutions
• Contribute to internal initiatives such as improving our development processes

• Providing support to other IT staff and business users by solving development challenges that may appear; including UI/UX development
• Enjoy teaching and coaching the business and engineering teams on how to best use Salesforce Commerce Cloud
• Design and document processes/procedures and provide seamless hand-off to business users to utilize
• Work diligently to provide solutions within the Salesforce environment where they are needed and keep working to improve the platform with code fixes

• Comfortable working knowledge and experience with web development skills and tools including Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, Git, jQuery, Jenkins, as well as SOAP/REST microservice development using Java/Groovy under Springboot
• Database knowledge and functional skills with SQL and PostGres
• Knowledge of digital commerce components such as users, catalog, product, pricing, inventory, and payments
• Well versed in business process for ecommerce, front end performance, and digital commerce integrations such as CDN, CMS, OMS, and ERP
• Experience with collaboration tool such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Comfortable working with business users and technical staff to discuss technical concepts and develop solutions to support all stakeholders.
• Actively continues to pursue training and stay up to date with an evolving Salesforce environment
• Illustrates knowledge on how to turn challenges into opportunities using eCommerce solutions
• Work with the quality assurance team to ensure implemented items are tested and working as designed
• Work on assignments given by management and be able to balance multiple assignments

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or Technology or similar work experience is desired
• Experience integrating Sales Force Commerce Cloud to other Order Management or ERP applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Multi-year experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud development or integration
• Salesforce certifications are a plus
