Therapeutic Skills Coaches (TSC I, II, III, IV, V, VI)
Full-Time/3/4-Time/Part-Time/On-Call/Non-Exempt/$19.95 - $29.40 per hour (DOE), STRTP/Location: Redwood Valley, CA
Additional Pay differentials - must qualifying through program, shift, testing or verification.
- Short Term Residential Treatment Program - ($2.00 per hour)
- Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour)
- Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)
- Overnight/Graveyard - Stay Awake Shifts ($1.00 per hour)

Provides direct oversight, supervision and care for each individual child in the residential setting and in the field, under supervision of the Program Supervisor and/or Program Director by performing the following duties: Provides cross-setting care and supervision as well as interventions to youth aimed at stabilizing their behavior(s) and teach functional skills that enable the youth to mitigate the behaviors identified as reasons for placement in the residential treatment facility so that the youth can quickly return to and live in the community, in a family setting. Night-time childcare workers will remain awake during the complete shift and follow all night shift procedures. Bed checks every 5-15 minutes as required by licensing, and all other duties as per job description. Must be able to travel overnight occasionally and travel regularly during the normal workday hours. May need own vehicle for travel. Must provide current CA driver's license, no more than 3 points on driver's record. Valid auto insurance and registration. Must pass fingerprint background clearance through DOJ, FBI, CACI, CCL, pre-employment physical, & TB exam by the time of employment. Fluent in written & verbal Spanish language preferred.
Classifications and Qualifications for Therapeutic Skills Coaches:
- TSC I: An individual who has less than two (2) years of FTE experience in mental health related field providing direct mental health services.
- TSC II: An individual who has at least two (2) years but less than four years of FTE experience in a mental health related field providing direct mental health services.
- TSC III: An individual who has at least four (4) years of full-time/equivalent (FTE) experience in a mental health related field proving direct mental health services. Up to two (2) years of the four (4) years of experience
- TSC IV, V, VI: An Individual who has Associate’s degree +6 years; Bachelor’s degree +4 years working with at-risk youth in a residential or mental health setting, or Master’s degree + 2 years in a mental health related field. (Must qualify/credential as a MHRS - Mendocino County)
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout, Clear background check w/ DOJ, CACI, FBI, CCL - CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.
