Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking a Security Agent. This is a full time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package, and is located in Abbeville, Alabama.

The Security/Risk Mitigation Department is a 24/7 operation. All Security Agents are required to work shift work, 6a-6p and 6p to 6a, on a rotating schedule.

Overview:

You must share our seriousness about security and our commitment to confidentiality. While security and risk mitigation are our primary mission, a concierge demeanor and attitude are expected. The Security Agent position is a full-time Great Southern Wood Preserving employee, with all the rights and benefits.

Essential Functions:

• Develop a professional relationship with GSWP leadership, staff, customer base, local law enforcement, and the Abbeville community
• Be prepared to provide advanced lifesaving techniques in the event of an emergency, and successfully complete shotgun familiarization course.
• Assure the security, integrity, and inner workings of the Central Operations Center.
• Professionally and attentively monitor all alarms, cameras, lighting, mail scanning equipment, and other technical equipment.
• Assure the proper response is professionally and quickly made to all alarms, suspicious camera activity, or verbal request.
• Assure the appropriate reports are made concerning security issues, i.e. alarm responses, suspicious camera activity, verbal or telephonic reports, daily logs, etc. Assure all equipment is tested and in good working order each shift.
• Successfully complete all training and certification requirements.

• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• College or University degree in related field is preferable or two years' experience in related field, or combination of education and experience.
• Maintain appropriate weight and physical fitness for job demands.
• Superior problem solving skills
