• You will be responsible for the overall safety compliance and enforcement of federal, local, and Company procedures, policies and regulations.
• You will lead the safety and compliance function to ensure prevention of injury, illness, and property damage.
• Manage medical and worker’s compensation related activities.
• Investigate and report accidents, near misses, first aid, recordables and lost time injuries.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections throughout the facility.
• Administer safety programs (i.e. Lock out/Tag Out, Confined Space/Ergonomic programs, Hot work/Industrial Hygiene, etc.)
• All other relevant duties to the job.

• It would be ideal if you had a Bachelor Degree in an environmental or health related science.
• You must have some safety management experience in an industrial environment.
• Technical knowledge of OSHA laws, policies and regulations.
• Ideally you would have a CSP (Certification as Safety Professional).
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and electrical systems.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient technology and computer skills, including MS Office based programs.

• You’ll need to be able to walk, twist, bend and lift various weights.
• You will be exposed to cold temperatures and slightly wet conditions.

Most benefits become effective after 30 days of employment, and you'll be eligible to participate in the 401k savings program after 1 year. Team members must meet eligibility requirements to earn benefits and incentives.
