Purpose: This position is responsible to install, service and maintain robotic systems.
Job Description
At the end of a successful 2 year training program the candidate should be able to do the following:
- Setup a cell from scratch using a Fanuc and Motoman with Lincoln welders and 1 other robot and 2 other different welders. (ABB, Panasonic or other robots using Fronius, Miller, OTC, SKS or others.)
- Sets up communication to PLC.
- Illustrates and does setup for I.O. for cell function.
- Makes ladder changes on a Motoman robot.
- Sets up interference zones on 3 robot types.
- Sets up HOF and all variable changes to a Fanuc robot.
- Teaches and runs robots using single pendant and multiple arms. (PSTART commands on Motoman etc.).
- Sets up interference zones with PLC on multiple arms using single pendant per arm. (Handshake commands using I.O.)
- Sets up and changes spot weld guns and parameters. (Medar, Obara, and TC guns)
- Runs job tasks for domestic and international customers.
- Sets up and changes spot weld guns and parameters. (Medar, Obara, and TC guns)
- Sets up coordinated motion on Fanuc and Motoman.
- Willing to travel 40% of the time to customer sites.
Basic Requirements
- High school, GED, Vocational High School or Technical College or equivalent experience.
- Perusing a career/further education in robotics or PLC
- Mechanical ability
- basic understanding of tools
