This position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Island.
Job Overview
This position oversees and directs all functions related to Surfway Retail Stores & Resale Operations. Responsible for the smooth operation of the facilities, managing personnel, and monitors the requisition, acquisition, storage, and distribution of supplies and the maintenance of records.
This position is unaccompanied; and a bachelor’s quarter (BQ) and meal card will be provided.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Submit, recurring, Class 1 retail DeCA and FFV orders for retail sale stores and Class 1 DeCA and FFV purchase requisitions for the Reagan Test Site (RTS) mission support requirements.
- Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive sales and increase profitability.
- Develops strong business relationships with customers by maintaining open communication with customers, and by quickly and effectively resolving concerns.
- Ensure the quality assurance for product receipt, storage, issuing, restocking
- Utilizes Point of Sale (POS) software.
- Managing inventory by reviewing sales data to make sure items are ordered in time for peak demand periods
- Perform inventory control to avoid over stock and low stock.
- Manage product storage and rotation activities to reduce spoilages and damages.
- Follow and enforce store policies, security measures and customer service standards.
- Manages, prepares, and delivers staff’s performance evaluations/appraisals, as well as performance deficiencies and recommendations.
- Develop positive shopping experience and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provides a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining store equipment in proper working order.
- Performs other duties as assigned, to support project execution.
Mandatory Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
- One to three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with military supply system.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks, pre-employment physical requirements and drug testing required by the contract.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.

The definition of fully vaccinated is that you have:
1.) Received a vaccine that is recognized by the governing entity and is either a.) Two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine b.) Two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine c.) Two doses of Moderna Vaccine (or) d. One dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine; and
2.) Two weeks elapsed after the final dose was administered, which is either one or two doses depending on brand of the vaccination.
