JOB SUMMARY:

The Michigan Crossroads Council Registration clerk performs an integral part of processing, evaluating and analyzing all membership in the Boy Scouts of America, ensuring that all youth, adult and volunteers are recorded accurately and promptly. Additionally, this person is responsible for customer relations, with both staff and volunteers, of the Michigan Crossroads Council

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

  • Ensures registration process is understood by staff.
  • Serve as help desk for both staff and volunteers.
  • Process youth, adults and new units into online registration system.
  • Update defective reports daily, clear and post applications as defective fixes come in.
  • Other topics requested by staff and Management

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Process applications

2) Maintain superior customer service relationships with volunteers and staff.

3) Assist with filing registration materials as needed.

OTHER RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

As assigned – add history for out-of-Council transfers, all job related filing, attend all training related to all software programs.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

· Knowledge of software and skilled in the use of various computer software programs, including Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to learn new systems.

· Dedication to the mission, aims & methods of Scouting.

· Proven excellence in written and verbal communication.

· Proven skills in decision-making, teamwork and interpersonal communications.

· Maintain confidentiality of personal information.

· Present a professional attitude and image within the office.

· Maintain positive working relationships with volunteers and staff.

· Organizational skills and proven ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Ability to communicate plans effectively to staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have an Associates Degree or significant experience with customer service.

· Some Scouting knowledge

· Must possess problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
