Receiving Associate - Part Time, Second Shift Job at Harleysville Ace Hardware
Part Time: Evenings & Saturday – Monday-Saturday
Seeking person to work 3:30 AM – 7:00 PM Monday – Saturday with a flexible day off
Main duties consist of assisting with loading & unloading freight, product assembly, delivery, special orders, propane fills, and property maintenance.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with occasional lifting of up to 80 lbs
Stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch on concrete or asphalt for long periods of time
IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
High school diploma or GED
Excellent work ethic, enthusiastic, dependable, detail oriented, and flexible for varied work assignments
Experience in the field preferred but not required

Main duties consist of assisting with loading & unloading freight, product assembly, delivery, special orders, propane fills, and property maintenance.
- Work in outside weather conditions year round
- Schedule, load and unload customer deliveries in a safe and efficient manner with a working knowledge of all equipment.
- Assist customers with large or heavy items, bag products, special orders, etc.
- Using a radio/headset to effectively communicate with other associates or management
- Maintain organizational standards in the receiving departments & warehouses.
- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift experience/certification preferred, but not mandatory
- Valid driver license & clean driving record
- Valid driver license & clean driving record (CDL helpful but not required)
- Must obtain PA medical card within 30 days of hire
- Assembly/Mechanical aptitude helpful but not mandatory
- Ability to drive non-CDL box trucks and delivery vans
