Job Description
- Manages organization's internal/external communications activities including advertising, marketing, media relations, public affairs, public relations, social media, crisis communications, etc.
- This position creates, designs, implements and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization.
- The preferred candidate has experience in video editing, video production and graphic design.
- Enhances the communications between company and employees, clients, government and the community.
- Maintains communications policies and procedures, monitors company media coverage.
- May support special projects and initiatives for the corporation and its subsidiaries companies and projects.
- May prepare presentations and/or speeches geared toward employees and customers.
- Ensures that project/department rocks/milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Contributes to North Wind culture initiatives.
- Work tasks may be generally independent but also collaborative in nature.
- Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for communications and marketing team and may develop budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional department.
- Implements, monitors, and evaluates communications strategies to support the marketing objectives and maximize the positive exposure in local, national and global markets.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree, additional education or training is preferred.
- Candidate will gain extensive knowledge of department processes and may manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
- Requires 10+ years' experience in the related area.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- May guide or train less-experienced communications and marketing team members.
- Requires a bachelor's degree.
