At Mantis Innovation we are hiring a Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing efficiency solutions team! You will be responsible for providing project management of mechanical and HVAC retrofits for large commercial/industrial clients in the Greater New York Area. This role will work closely with engineers, subcontractors, manufacturers and distributors to ensure high customer satisfaction in identification and installation of turnkey retrofit projects. You will also be responsible for audits of facilities, creation of scopes of work that will be used in sales proposals, coordination and management of all subcontractors and vendors during construction, and working with utility personnel on all items needed for incentive money for the project.

What does a 'day in the life' look like for you?

• Perform detailed mechanical and HVAC systems audits
• Ability to create and revise project scopes to conform to ROI and Payback criteria that will meet client, utility and sales requirements
• Work with utility on all facets of ensuring project conforms and fully qualifies for incentives
• Ensure projects meet profitability metrics
• Display ability to identify comprehensive projects and bring in necessary resources to provide a comprehensive project, as warranted
• Work with outside and inside sales in a team environment to create value for clients
• Use a detail-oriented approach to efficiently manage projects to be on-time and on-budget

What qualifications should you have to work with us?

• 5-7 years Prior Project Management and Mechanical/HVAC Audit experience a plus!
• Experience working with Utility programs
• Demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC supply chain process, or similar experience within construction-specific distribution
• General knowledge of electrical contracting, mechanical systems design, distribution and construction processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• CEM certification
