Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator (340B Specialist) for the Department of Medicine within the New Jersey Medical School. The Program Coordinator (340B specialist) is responsible for coordinating the Infectious Diseases Ryan White 340B administration. The Program Coordinator (340B specialist) will serve as primary internal and external contact for all 340B related matters. The individual will develop and maintain internal relationships (finance, legal, grantee) and external relationships (wholesalers, manufacturers, contract pharmacies, split-billing software vendors, and third-party administrator (TPA) vendors) as needed. The position will ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, maintain contracts, provide financial and regulatory reporting to the Medical Director, reconcile internal revenue and expenses, and coordinate internal and external audit practices.

- Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures on 340B purchasing processes.
- Review 340B program policies and procedures on an ongoing basis and offer contributions and changes to ensure 340B compliance.
- Ensures that policies and procedures are developed and implemented according to organizational, regional, national, state, and federal requirements and guidelines and are approved by the institution’s legal department.
- Assists organizational leadership to develop a regular compliance audit program.
- Contributes processes and materials to promote programs or support the goals of the department and institution.
- Establishes consistent policies and procedures for 340B that ensure productivity and efficiency so that long-term management of the program does not hamper operations or create unnecessary costs.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, pharmacy, social science or related field.
- Applicants may substitute additional related experience for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.

- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills; detail oriented.
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply.
