Full-Time, Exempt
A Security Analyst works to ensure MVP’s systems and business critical functions are secure. In this position they will design, build, test, and implement security systems within MVP’s business and IT environment. The Security Analyst will work to help identify security risks and areas of weakness and respond effectively to possible security breaches. Individual will work the security architect and security engineers assisting with security support and incidence response.
Responsibilities include:
Promptly responding to all security incidents and assist with post-event analyses.
Assist with regular system tests and monitoring of IT security.
Assisting with reviewing the security requirements for all applications and systems including servers, endpoints and network devices.
Remaining up to date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.
Responsible for communicating organizational information through regular team meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate written and interpersonal communication.
Perform regular vulnerability scanning and communicate critical patching needs to the business.
Build strong cross-organizational relationships. Work collaboratively across the IT organization.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, and obtaining security certifications.
Assist with security table-top exercises
Perform monitoring and alerting in SIEM.
Assist with preparation of security reports by collecting data and providing to Security Engineers and Architect.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
Applicants who majored in Cybersecurity or related majors are preferred.
Minimum Experience
3+ years’ work experience in related health care business or IT position preferred.
1+ years’ experience with IT Security technologies preferred.
