General Overview
MB Airport is a very successful part of Aebi Schmidt North America with roughly 100mUSD in sales volume and around 200 employees over three location in the Chilton, WI area. The main customers are all major airports in North America with snow events and manufacturer of equipment that requires any kind of rotating brush attachments. The main product line consists of very large and complex snow removal vehicles that are produced in Chilton, WI. Our vehicles are fully customized, and we maintain a very high level of vertical integration.
Job Summary
The Production Assistant compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Check timecards daily and correct Labor Edit Report
- Log direct and indirect labor hours
- Process sales orders for all repair parts
- Process all engineering change notices
- Close completed jobs from the shop
- Key scrap and check inventory
- Process sales orders for large units as called for in the schedule
- Run all production jobs and attach engineering prints for each part
- Complete steps to prepare for physical inventory
- Key inventory tags
- Backup for purchasing
- Place purchase orders as needed and receive parts
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word processing software; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software; Vantage inventory software and Internet software.
Physical Demands
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
