President/CEO Job at First Priority Credit Union

First Priority Credit Union is a Massachusetts state-chartered Credit Union incorporated in 1924. Initially, membership in FPCU was limited to United States Postal Employees, retirees, and their families. Over the years the membership has grown to also include those that live or work in Suffolk and Essex Counties as well as certain cities and towns in Middlesex and Norfolk Counties.
With over $100 million in assets, FPCU operates two convenient branches located at the General Mail Facility (abutting South Station) in Boston and on Swift Street in East Boston. The Credit Union provides members with an array of financial services, including Residential, Consumer, Auto, and Member Business Lending and other complimentary services. FPCU provides its members with financial products offered by larger institutions, but with the cost savings and comfort that comes when one banks with an institution that is a proud member of the local community.
Candidate will serve as Chief Executive Officer, and exercise overall responsibility for the growth, soundness, and sustainable profitability of the Credit Union. Provides leadership and direction to officers and staff. Develops and manages the implementation of the Credit Union’s budget and strategic plans. The following commentary provides some of the key responsibilities and expectations for the incoming Chief Executive Officer. However others may arise if the circumstances warrant.
Position Overview:
- Partner with the Board of Directors (the “Board”) and Senior Leadership team to define and execute long and short-term strategies, plans, and objectives aimed at serving members as well as meeting growth goals.
- Key responsibilities include: 1) Leading the Organization in terms of culture and values; 2) Leveraging technology to efficiently serve members; 3) Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, which will require developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with the Massachusetts Division of Banks and the National Credit Union Administration; 4) Embracing innovation in providing value-added products and services; 5) Establishing and meeting key financial goals and objectives; 6) Effectively communicate and collaborate with the Board, colleagues, the communities served, and industry peers.
- Serve as the Credit Union’s ambassador. Be front and center in the public eye by being a visionary, developing future leaders, and identifying opportunities for change and growth.
- Protect and represent the Credit Union’s standards for its mission, ethics, and reputation.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree plus specialized training and coursework. At least 5 years Senior Management experience in a Massachusetts based Bank or Credit Union. Must possess Excellent leadership, communication, sales, service, and presentation skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $225,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year
