Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produces plates from files supplied by our clients that are prepped and imposed by the desktop operators
- Performs quality check supplied files for plate output.
- Performs quality check produced plates that are clean, accurate and registered for press.
- Documents the dot gains of the plates in the plate log on each job.
- Responsible for the success of the quality of print at press side
- Required to perform other duties as requested, directed and assigned
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of High School or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience is considered a “journeyman” by trade.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to adherence to S.O.P., layout knowledge
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to understand of the eventual outcome and the repercussions that occur if your job is not done properly is dollar detriment
- Required to read and write, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, and walk around the facility.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
- Work performed inside where a noise level is moderate
