Pre-Production Handler (Seasonal) Job at Kendal Floral Supply LLC
SUMMARY: Ensure flowers are ready for production and store appropriately in cooler to ensure proper rotation. Transports flowers from the cooler to production area.
Start Date: April 26, 2023
SCHEDULE: 4:00AM to 12:30PM ($18.50 hr.) or 4:00pm - 12:30am ($19.00 hr.) Monday to Friday ( overtime and weekend work availability during major floral holidays)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinate with Lead to prioritize daily order pulling.
- Pull product according to rotation standards.
- Continuously rotate product in the cooler according to usage and date.
- Pull product for production according to recipe.
- Safely load product onto carts to prevent product damage.
- Ensure product meets Company quality standards before introducing into production area.
- Ensure cooler floor is kept clear of water and debris.
- Ensure Readiness of product for production needs.
- Notify lead regarding any issues concerning quality.
QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to work on weekends and Overtime when required including during major floral holidays.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment 35 degrees.
- Ability to lift, carry up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to read, write and basic math knowledge.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work effectively and relate well with others.
