CERTIFIED OR NON-CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER
POSITION Non-Certified Officers start at $58,000
Certified Officers will start depending on experience.
The following are the requirements for the position
- 21 years of age upon completion of the academy
- US Citizen
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers license
- No Criminal arrests
The Dewey Beach Police Department offers: 100% employee and family covered State
Medical Plan, State Municipal Retirement Plan, Paid Sick and Vacation, Take Home Vehicle.
Non- Certified Applicants who meet the requirements will need to pass the following to be considered for the position:
Written and Physical Agility test Background investigation
Psychological examination Medical Examination
Drug Screen
Successful applicant will attend one of Delaware Council on Police Training’s approved Police
Academy’s.
Certified Applicant will be given a conditional hire until they meet all requirements set by the Council on Police Training and a Modified Field Training Program.
