HEAD LIFEGUARD AND ASSISTANT AQUATIC DIRECTOR
Part-Time Temporary

The Head Lifeguard and Assistant Aquatic Director position is Open Until Filled in order to find the ideal candidates for the position.

As a Part-Time Temporary Head Lifeguard and Assistant Aquatic Director, you will assist the Aquatics Director in providing continuous training and feedback to the pool staff. You will lead by example and by continuous positive interaction with the pool staff. Although many of the duties of the Head Lifeguards will be exactly the same as the rest of the pool staff, their duties will also include supervising, training and counseling other lifeguards. The Head Lifeguard(s) will supervise pool facilities staff during all programmed activities and ensure the safety and well being of each patron using the UCC pool facilities by preventing and responding to emergencies. The Head Lifeguard(s) will work directly with staff and participants providing courteous, friendly and professional assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Must be able to work from start to finish of UCC Summer Swim Program
  • Must have at least two seasons lifeguarding experience. A season of experience must be no less than six weeks experience in a formal recreation setting.
  • Must have at least two seasons Water Safety Instruction experience. A season of experience must be no less than six weeks experience in a formal recreation setting.
  • Must possess current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification, American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification and First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
