ELM Utility Services, with over 1000 employees nationwide, has outstanding opportunities working in the Gas, Electric, and Communication industry in Colorado throughout the Denver, Brighton and Northglenn areas. We have several positions available ranging from Gas Leak Survey, Meter Maintenance, Aboveground leak repairs and Locate and Marking of Gas, Electric, and Communication facilities. With a clear upward career path and hourly pay increase opportunities and starting pay from $19-$30 per hour, depending on qualifications and hired position, ELM is a great place to work. All positions include paid training, all required tools, technology, and equipment, and include a company provided vehicle. ELM utilizes our Launch Point software system with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the job is as simple and efficient as possible for our technicians. ELM Technicians provide a service to their community ensuring the gas, electric, and communications systems are maintained and dependable by performing excellent quality work to investigating, inspecting, performing maintenance and repairs, and preventing excavation damage to these critical facilities.

Specific duties for each role may differ slightly depending on position, but all roles include, but not limited to:

  • Following all company, client, state, and federal code of regulation requirements.
  • Following all company safety, quality and operational policies and procedures.
  • Accurately complete all necessary data collection and paperwork requirements.
  • Successfully complete training and operator qualification requirements.
  • Represent company and client in a professional manner.
  • Accurately detect, classify, and document natural gas leakage, atmospheric corrosion and abnormal operating conditions on client’s natural gas facilities.
  • Reading and understanding utility-provided maps and prints.
  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of underground utility systems and infrastructure.
  • Communicating professionally when interacting with client, customers, peers and the public.
  • Receiving daily jobs via computer/device.
  • Accept and meet emergency callout, on-call, overtime, and travel requirements.
· Perform other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Specific qualifications for the position include:

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
· High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
