EYE-Q Vision Care is seeking applicants for the position of Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at our EYE-Q facilities in Fresno, Clovis and Selma. EYE-Q Vision Care is seeking a candidate who can thrive in a fast paced and busy environment as an Ophthalmic Technician. Do you have a background as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician and looking to grow and develop your professional career in Ophthalmology? We are seeking an employee that has great interpersonal skills who can develop close relationships with patients and staff. In this position candidates will perform basic, advanced, and complex procedures.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WOULD BE EXPECTED TO:

• Acquaint all patients with the office procedures to which they will be exposed. Inform patients of the purpose of all tests performed, and how they will be affected.
• All technicians at EYE-Q are expected to be capable of scribing for the doctors as part of their daily assignments.
• Perform Visual Acuity, Manual Lensometry, Confrontational Visual Fields, Stereo Testing, Evaluation of Motility, Pupillary Function Tests, Color plates, Applanation Tonometry, Fundus Photography, other tasks specific to physician needs.
• Administrative duties will include keeping exposed lenses, mirrors and prisms clean, maintaining sanitary conditions in diagnostic and procedure rooms as well as keeping them stocked, and maintaining par levels of replacement inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Medical Assistant training/certification (preferred)
• Medical Assistant experience 2 years (preferred)
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, Nextgen (preferred)
• Please Note: Per the CDPH order, all healthcare workers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved exemption and test regularly.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an optical setting. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. This is a full time position with a benefits package. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate. Schedule will be Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday if required by position or needs of the practice.

SALARY: Starting at $16.76/hr.
