Position Title: Local Operations Coordinator – Missouri
Reports to: Local Operations Supervisor – Missouri
Location: Seymour, MO
Status: Full-Time
Job Summary
The Local Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Local Operations Supervisor with Hoover’s operations in Missouri, collaboratively overseeing all aspects of the operation with the Local Operations Supervisor. This is an on-site position in Missouri. Hoover’s Hatchery is based in North Central Iowa.
Essential Functions
- Manages delivery of breeding stock in Missouri per placement dates
- Works with Contract Growers to ensure they are meeting required policies and standards
- Assists in auditing Contract Growers according to set audit schedule and maintain audit records
- Assists in collecting and submitting environmental and monitored disease samples according to set schedule
- Works with Hoover’s Hatchery contacts and consultants regarding diagnosing disease and husbandry issues
- Coordinates and conducts flock vaccination, beak trimming, and blood testing
- Conducts pre-placement audit, fogging, insecticide application and sanitation.
- Submits weekly reports/updates
- Coordinates egg route schedules and schedules Contract Workers
- Understands Hoover’s policies and assists with communications between Hoover’s and the Contract Growers
- Conducts egg routes
- Assists in maintaining supplies inventory
- Participates in all necessary meetings
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of poultry husbandry experience preferred
- Logistics experience is beneficial, but not required
- CDL-A or -C is beneficial, but not required
- Experience/Competency working with and interacting with the Amish Community is beneficial, but not required
- Possesses, or is willing to acquire Certified Commercial Applicators License

Physical Demands
- This position may require heavy lifting, up to 80 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, bend, and reach
- Frequently required to stand and/or sit for extended periods
- Normal corrective vision range, ability to see color and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
- Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., respirator, disposable coveralls, boot covers, etc.)
Travel Requirements
- Travel between farms daily
- Overnight Travel – less than 5%
