Job Summary and Responsibilities:
C&K Holdings, the Drayage Specialists, is actively seeking an experienced Intermodal Onboarding Specialist at our Chicago Ridge, Illinois office. The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for communicating with contractor applicants and leads to hire qualified contractors to our existing fleet in an efficient and timely manner. Constantly striving to ensure that all contractor applicants’ files meet DOT and FMCSA standards and requirements.
- Successfully manage a region of contractor applicants throughout the hiring process
- Working with new applicants to complete the onboarding process in a timely manner
- Consistently communicate with new contractor applicants regarding carrier processes
- Ability to be pleasant, patient, and responsive to new contractor applicant’s questions and concerns while working to resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Work together with Terminal Managers assigned to their region on applicant pool and transferring the contractors over to the Terminal Managers on the contracting date
Skills & Experience:
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Power Point)
- Strong skills and knowledge on building DOT/FMCSA contractor and equipment files
- Strong communications skills to meet goals with applicants completing files
- Experience in managing a team a plus
- 1-3 years’ experience in trucking, preferable intermodal trucking
- 1-3 years’ experience working with the Tenstreet onboarding product
- Must have strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations
- Need to have knowledge in HIPPA compliance
- Experience in recruiting and retaining contractors in the transportation industry
- Proficiency using technology and web-based applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and solve problems in personnel related situations
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience within a call center setting preferred
