The
Nursing Unit Clerk will work
Full Time, Days and establishes and maintains good communications with families/visitors and hospital staff.
The Nursing Unit Clerk provides essential administrative and service support to providers/health care team members.- As a Nursing Unit Clerk, you will collaborate with Nurse Manager to support adherence to unit budget.
- The Nursing Unit Clerk communicates patient needs to appropriate personnel and seeks assistance when necessary to meet those needs.
Bassett Healthcare Network follows the New York State and New York State Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandates for healthcare workers. This mandate requires COVID-19 vaccinations for personnel working for or on behalf of our hospitals and nursing homes. The New York State mandate allows for medical exemptions and religious accommodations, when appropriate. Education/Qualifications:
- High school diploma OR equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous health care experience preferred.
Licensure/Certificates:
- None.
Skills:
- Basic skills in math, reading and writing English.
- Basic computer and typing skills (at least 20 words per minute).
- Ability to learn and use clinical information systems and medical terminology.
- Ability to function as an active team member.
- Professional communication skills.
- Ability to transition quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires long periods of concentration.
- Requires ability to be mobile and to sit for long periods of time.
- Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity.
