Sage Creek Post Acute is looking for a personable, competent, and committed Staff Coordinator to join our team!

Purpose: s To schedule nursing staff to meet facility, state and Federal requirements as directed Administration

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish staffing patterns and schedules for nurses
  • Balance patient volume and acuity to established nurse patient ratios
  • Work with the Operations team in the day to day duties of managed RPM and work cross functionally with client success to forecast staffing needs
  • Assist in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required
  • Maintain records on overtime, vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action
  • Works with Operations Team to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees
  • Possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility
  • Adapt staffing process for a fast growing clinical team
  • Own new hire training Back up to Operations Associate
  • Develop and post work schedules at least one month prior to start of schedule
  • Contacts replacement personnel and modifies schedule when required
  • Maintains a current listing of employee contact numbers for call-in
  • Coordinates requests for time off with the Director of Nursing
  • Maintains record of employees that miss shifts and produces reports
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year experience of long-term care experience
  • Knowledge of overtime regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and family members (or responsible parties) ls of the organizationAbility to be accurate, concise and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Knowledge of skilled nursing facility systems
  • Knowledge of long-term care resident needs
  • Requires mental maturity to deal with fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly and/or emotionally upset, and/or memory impaired
  • Must be able to manage resident behavior that includes verbal outbursts, combative behavior, striking out, and memory impairment
  • Ability to speak Spanish or another foreign language is helpful but not required

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
