Night Truck Driver
Newington, CT

• Pay: $36.33/hr.
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 6pm-6am

• Key* qualifications*:
• Clean & valid CDL Class A
• Minimum 5 years tractor-trailer driving experience
• Compliant with DOT and FMSCA guidelines and regulations

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Night Truck Driver is responsible for the following tasks:

• Transport parts between branches accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all emergency parts are picked up and delivered as required
• Ensure truck is loaded safely and make maximum use of available space
• Sort load according to delivery route to expedite processing at branch
• Complete and hand in pre-trip inspections and daily truck logs as required and hand in daily
• Complete/attend all safety meetings, computer-based safety training, safety audits and other safety training as assigned
• Work in a proactive, safe manner in compliance with all safety practices, policies, and training
• Immediately resolve and/or report all safety issues to supervisor

Qualifications:

• Clean & valid CDL Class A required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience driving a tractor trailer required
• Must be able to meet the background check and drug/alcohol requirements for CDL drivers as outlined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
• Mechanical ability to perform basic roadside repairs a plus
