Plastic Injection Mold/Die Setter

CIE-Century Plastics, a division of the global enterprise CIE Automotive, is seeking a talented Mold/Die Setter to join our team while under the guidance of the Plant Foreman, effectively and efficiently perform routine and situational mold and maintenance on plastic injection molding and compression machines. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and skills:

Primary Purpose:

• To assist manufacturing and production with changing out machine molds

Essential Functions:

• Mixes catalysts, thermoplastic materials, and coloring pigments according to formula.
• Repairs and maintains machines and auxiliary equipment, using hand tools and power tools
• Removes finished or cured product from dies or mold
• Measures and visually inspects products for surface and dimension defects, using precise measuring instruments to meet specifications
• Positions, aligns, and secures assembled mold, mold components, and machine accessories onto machine press bed and attaches connecting lines
• Installs dies onto machine or press and coats dies with parting agent
• Observes and adjusts machine set up and operations to eliminate production of defective parts and products.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical skills
• Attention to detail
• At least 1 year of experience in mold setting (preferably in automotive)
• MUST be familiar with quick mold changes, auxiliary equipment, and fixtures

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, lifting, bending, crouching

*$50 weekly bonus for perfect attendance* (more details upon being hired)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
