About this position:
As a Merchandise Planner, no two days are ever the same. You will create a unique, impactful shopping experience for the Gold Beach Lumber & Cascade Home Center retail stores and understand the importance of a strong branded environment to support business objectives. The Merchandise Planner drives decisions & strategies that will deliver and maximize sales, margin, turn and GMROI goals. Contribute to achieving best in class planning and merchandising team that will accomplish company and departmental goals. Supports the creation and execution of a Merchandise strategy through multiple channels and categories. Customer experience will be forefront in their minds as they create an environment where every time the guest comes into contact with the organization, they are better for it.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the Merchandise Movement Process is flawlessly executed
- Merchandising, signage, and resets in all stores
- Being a mentor, train, and coach our Planning and Inventory teams
- Using financial reporting to drive business opportunities
- Supporting future growth expectations by developing sustainable, strategic merchandise plans that are challenging but achievable
- Identifying category trends - read/react with timely communication to Merchant teams for execution. Build monthly visual merchandising presentation guidelines based on business goals and product strategies
- Partnering with marketing and store leadership to ensure storytelling needs are covered daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally
- Incorporating an impact of promotional/marketing events and product entrance/exit strategies to meet the sales and margin objectives
- Embodying the company values and put customers first

Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (Business management, retail, finance, etc.)
- 3+ years of retail merchandise planning experience
