Full Job Description

The Federally Qualified Health Center provides primary healthcare and mental health services to the underserved. We are seeking a full-time Associate Medical Director.

The Associate Medical Director will be accountable for implementation and oversight of all clinical outcomes, policies, procedure, protocols, Quality Assurance Quality Improvement initiatives, and Risk Management Program as well as of all Providers, including Physicians, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and Physician Assistants. You will also engage in patient care “as needed” based on a schedule to be determined between the CEO and the MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES for the Associate Medical Director:

1. Direct patient care, including physical exams, assessments, diagnosis and treatment for a specified patient population. Family practice medicine is a plus.

2. Unrestricted ability to prescribe medications and treatment regimens.

3. Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and supportive staff.

4. Participates in specified health promotions, education and/or prevention programs.

5. May manage the daily operation of a specific medical program as directed.

6. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties, as assigned.

7. Reports directly to the Medical Director.

REQUIREMENTS for the Medical Director:

*Must be licensed to practice Family Medicine or Internal Medicine in the State of Pennsylvania

*Minimum of 5 years of working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or a community health center.

*Experience working in integrated, behavior health and primary care setting is preferred.

*Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is preferred.

*Experience with using the computer and internet daily.

*Looking for someone with good management skills and strong Leadership skills.

*Must be excellent with using Microsoft Office.

*Must be a quick learner of new software systems/programs and EHR’s.

* Must be Board Certified

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $200,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
