The Medical Assistant in our outpatient Infusion Center is responsible for providing outstanding and professional patient care ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to:
- Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
- Responsible for performing such duties as phlebotomy, patient scheduling, EKG's, collection of specimens, taking vital signs and assisting physicians or other providers under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
Education:
Completion of Medical Assistant program preferred.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- 2 plus years experience as Medical Assistant strongly preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
- Epic experience preferred.
