Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage job schedule to complete job on time and within budget while maintaining the quality and integrity of the SMC project
• Manage job manpower
• Complete daily and/or weekly reports and all other job specific paperwork, including managing timesheets
• Attend all job meetings
• Enforce and follow all job related and company specific safety procedures and regualtions

Education and experience:

• Piping experience required
• Boiler experience required
• Duct experience required
• 3-5 years of previous supervision required
• OSHA 30 certified
• Must have Med-Gas certification and experience
• Excellent knowledge and experience of the mechanical industry
• Salary will be determined upon experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and practices most commonly employed in the mechanical trades.
• Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade
• Ability to read and understand submittals and prints and be able to execute according to the contract documents
• Ability to carry out math functions to estimate labor and material costs
• Ability to supervise the work of crew workers and helpers
• Ability to understand and effectively carry out complex oral and written instructions, including the interpretation of drawings, sketches, and blueprints
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with, clients, crews, subcontractors, and personnel of other departments within the company.
• Oral and writing ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Flexible with the ability to perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary.
• Proven Leadership and Supervisory skills
• Organizational and planning skills
• Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment
• Skills in the use and care of equipment and tools in the mechanical trades

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,695.34 - $75,000.00 per year
