Math Teacher - Long Term Substitute - Grade 6, Middle School Job at Swampscott Public Schools
Seeking a passionate and dynamic 6th-grade math teacher to cover a long term leave of absence
Teacher Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student learning of grade-level content and practice standards
- Work in collaboration with grade-level counterpart
- Use data to create specialized and targeted math intervention lessons in order to differentiate instruction
- Attend grade level team meetings as well as department and regular school meetings.
Teacher Skill Set:
- Mathematics teaching experience in middle grades
- Experience using a range of assessment to guide differentiated instruction
- Strong classroom management skills
- Strong knowledge of the Common Core MA Curriculum Frameworks for mathematics
- Bachelor's degree requires; Masters degree strongly preferred
- Massachusetts Teacher Certification/Licensure in Mathematics required.
