Northrop Grumman is in need of a Maintenance Technician to work at its Ronkonkoma, New York facility.

The position will be filled to either a level 2 or level 3 dependent upon education, experience, and demonstrated skills.

Job duties

Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.

• Maintain facility support systems
  • Replacing valves/components as needed as a result of system inspections or other finding
• Support test efforts by operating above mentioned support equipment and preparing facility systems as required by testing
  • Air (High Pressure) – achieve required pressure prior to test
  • Air (Control)
  • Air (LPHV)
  • Fuel (High Pressure) – fill tank with fuel, as required, prior to test
  • Hydrogen – ensure required trailer pressure and volume is ready prior to test
  • Natural Gas
  • Nitrogen – ensure required bank pressure and volume is ready prior to test
  • Oxygen – ensure required pressure is ready prior to test
  • Silane – ensure required pressure and volume is ready prior to test
  • Vacuum – achieve required pressure prior to test
  • Water (City)
  • Water (High Pressure) -
  • Water (Pump)
• Support capital upgrade projects involving plumbing changes/additions to new and/or existing facility systems
  • Support electrical efforts as well as needed
• Support environmental safety efforts (CFR training for handling/shipping, taking samples as needed)
• Coordinate with purchasing/gas supply vendors for deliveries
• Coordinate with waste recovery vendor for pumping out sphere water tank
• Maintain inventory and request orders as needed for critical spare components for facility equipment and facility systems
• Maintaining components in an organized storage system
• Support facility vehicle maintenance from a mechanical stand point as needed

Basic Qualifications for level 2

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 2 years of a combination of experience and/or further education
• Must be a US citizen

• Must have at least 4 years of a combination of experience and/or further education
• Must be a US citizen

Salary Range: $47,600 USD - $79,300 USD

Salary Range 2: $56,600 USD - $94,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
