Nicolet Staffing is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Technician for a Long Term Temporary assignment with the option for permanent hire based on performance. Position is located in Wisconsin Rapids, pay is $23.00 per hour with OT at $34.50 per hour.

This position is primarily responsible for the service, repair, and preventative maintenance of production & facility equipment. A broad background of mechanical and electrical skills are necessary to support the plant.

The position is a 12- hour night shift position, 4:00pm-4:00am. The technician will need to be able to support other maintenance activities that might occur off-hours as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) schedules and job plans and assist with production requests as needed.
• Report all building safety and operational hazardous findings to the EHS and Maintenance Manager and generate follow-up work orders to the appropriate department for resolution.
• Utilize CMMS (Maximo) to document equipment repairs, hours logged, and inventory used against assets in the plant.
• Completes reports to Maintenance Manager on operational progress and building concerns, workloads, schedules and/or interruptions to the schedule.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Responsible for the daily/weekly/monthly and yearly plant equipment checks.
• Support the development of Maintenance SOP’s.
• Adhere to plant quality standards including cleaning and sanitation of Maintenance areas.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Decision-Making Authority/Accountability Level:

This position’s accountability level must be able to ensure the proper maintenance of the entire facility, including all types of building, production, and utility equipment in the plant, with limited supervision. Must also be able to determine and implement corrective actions for equipment failures independently. As needed will escalate plant equipment issues to management team for support.

Minimum Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

• Associate degree or Journeyman card in maintenance related field is preferred or equivalent maintenance experience or certifications.
• Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and P&ID’s.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels.
• Must be able to lift low to heavy weight (10 - 60 lbs.) materials and carry 50 – 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work constructively in team environment.
• Experience with computer skills (excel, office word and outlook) and CMMS systems (Maximo, SAP, etc.).
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off, two days on, three days off).
