Minimum Required Qualifications:

The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility; food industry preferred.
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for extended hours.
• Must have well developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.

Essential Job Functions:

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on conveyor systems, processing equipment, packing equipment, washing equipment, labeling equipment, HDPE bottle production equipment and utilities.
• Performs preventative and failure maintenance activities utilizing equipment diagrams, schematics, equipment/operations manuals.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Electrical – 120V, 240V 480V. Pull wiring, pipe bending, connections etc. PLC’s.
• Instrumentation Calibration
• Grease & Lubrication of equipment
• Welding – MIG, TIG and Stick
• Hydraulics, Pneumatics.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Set up and assist in operator startup for production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
• Follow all company GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all safety regulatory requirements.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
