A PCI certified plant that serves the state of New York. The company specializes in Precast/ Prestressed Concrete Products.
Duties/Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager:
- This is a hands-on working Manager position
- Ability to prioritize workload and work with peers on equipment maintenance scheduling
- Experience with preventative/predictive maintenance
- Ability to develop and train employees – build a successful team / team building
- Make Safety a priority – lead by example and enforce all safety rules / Dedication and adherence to all company and industry safety standards
- Ability to identify the root cause of repairs and work with peers on preventative actions
- Ability to maintain own PO ordering and inventory
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on Precast/Prestress concrete machines.
- Perform quality repairs and maintenance on all Heavy Truck and Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer designed procedures or accepted industry practices.
- Complete all paperwork including repair information on work orders, information for state inspections, etc.
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Ensure broken machines are quickly and efficiently repaired.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinates with Plant supervisors to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new Precast/Prestress concrete products being added and modifications that will be required.
- Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities of the Maintenance Manager:
- Previous Precast/Prestress concrete experience
- Experience with plant maintenance – electrical, pneumatic, mechanical
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing up to 10 people
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Must have extensive hands-on knowledge in equipment maintenance, repair, and hydraulics / Diesel.
- Works well independently and with others in fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills / bilingual (English – Spanish)
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Preferably with experience with diesel Engines and Heavy Truck maintenance
Education and Experience of the Maintenance Manager:
- High School Diploma
- Vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
