ABOUT THE POSITION

Lead the Maintenance team in the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities. Coordinate efforts with the operations team in order to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute regular preventive maintenance schedule for multiple facilities.
  • Assist with the planning and oversight of new site layouts.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance and grounds issues.
  • Hire and develop maintenance team for quality execution of duties.
  • Using/maintaining, updating our CMMS-eWorkOrders.
  • Ensure that the machinery and equipment are being used to full capacity and that production is optimum.
  • Ensure that all OSHA, federal, state, and local safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations are adhered to.
  • Establish and administer budgets for maintenance expense and capital work, manage against those budgets including explanation of variances.
  • Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Develop, administer, and upgrade mechanical programs and SOP’s as necessary.
  • Lead preventative and predictive maintenance best practices and procedures.
  • Provide hands on technical leadership and training to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment and facility issues as they arise.
  • Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
  • Participation in company cultural and enrichment events.
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed to our other manufacturing location.
  • Must be able to sit by a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related experience a plus.
  • Five or more years maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Excel.
  • Able to work within and between teams.
  • Maintain internal and external customer focus.
  • Attention to detail and sharp troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to function well under stressful situations.
  • Innovative and creative thinker.
  • Mechanical aptitude (troubleshooting and manufacturing process).
