Key Role:

Serve as a strategic technical consultant, helping to conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of decision-makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies. Discover, evaluate, and use tools for market intelligence and landscape analysis for the health ecosystem. Serve as point of contact for Program Managers (PMs) to assess needs and apply appropriate acceleration, transition, and innovation services to programs and performers. Perform due diligence and leverage deep technical knowledge of biomedical and health research, the health ecosystem, and company formation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research related to biomedical and health research, market intelligence, and macro trends of the health ecosystem

  • 5+ years of experience in a postdoctoral, academic, or industry role in biomedical and health sciences

  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness when dealing with uncertainty and ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Doctorate degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with health technology development or analyzing a diverse set of health technologies

  • Experience with commercializing health technologies, including conducting clinical trials or navigating the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience in a consulting environment

  • Ability to develop and communicate meaningful insights, significant contributions, and recommendations to address complex client issues

  • Ability to learn, grow, and develop new skill sets

  • Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Doctorate degree in Biology

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
