OPERATOR 1st Shift (Almont, MI)
Entry level or experienced machine operators needed for 6-month assignment. Great opportunity for inpiduals looking to reenter the workforce or needing temporary employment. Our client is an expert manufacturer of metal-formed components and assemblies for both automotive and off-road vehicles and they are looking for Machine Operators in their Almont facility. This job pays $16.00 per hour and work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Position Overview: Perform assigned production activities required and verify quality conformance to Customer Requirements Standard.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Comply with VUSA standards of conduct, safety procedures, and other applicable policies Perform assigned production activities.
- Maintain processes and preform daily maintenance checks on manufacturing machinery, including but not limited to: CNC Header/Bender, Stamping machines, and Secondary equipment.
- Fulfill material handling requirements.
- Ensure all boundary samples, work instructions and procedures are available at the workstations.
- Ensure performance to all tasks per work instructions and written procedures.
- Perform physical and weight count of parts during production.
- Ensure proper labeling of all containers.
- Ensure proper completion and on time submission of all required paperwork.
- Observe and enforce safety and security measures appropriate to work performed.
- Endeavor to build a culture of high quality and safety in the workplace.
- Report all accidents, incidents and near miss occurrences according to S2001.
- Communicate and work with co-workers to promote and ensure quality.
Working Environment Conditions:
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions in all seasons, including variable temperatures; wet, humidity, hot and cold.
- Noise exposure; moderate to high.
- Wide variety of work which is challenging and enjoyable.
- High degree of autonomy.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and fully twist 90% of the time.
- Can lift up to 30 pounds.
Skill Training Requirements:
- 1 year experience preferred.
- Well organized.
- Forklift trained and licensed preferred.
- Performance competency to written and verbal job instructions and procedures.
- Working knowledge of basic health and safety procedures.
- Workplace flexibility.
