Position Title: Machine Operator
Department: Production
Location: Shepherdsville, KY
Position Directly Reports To: Cell Team Leader
Position Indirectly Reports To: Production Manager
POSITION GOAL:
This position is responsible for operating computer controlled equipment to manufacture components within the Shepherdsville Fabrication facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to operate computer-controlled equipment such as laser cutting equipment, lathes, machining centers, press brakes, punches and/or routers.
- Must have knowledge of line installations, and assemblies within specific area.
- Must be able to perform all installations and/or assemblies within a specified work area.
- Must be able to work on blueprints, process sheets, and/or written instructions.
- Must have working knowledge of hand air tools.
- Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach. Must be able to climb up and down, as well as work using a ladder.
- Employee is regularly exposed to vibration, and occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
- Must be present on the job to perform the assigned duties and be able to work overtime which is often required to meet production schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma
Experience/Knowledge (Preferred Experience/Knowledge Only)
- Ability to use computer-controlled equipment.
- Ability to read and follow intermediate measurements and instructions.
- Good communication skills, ability to work with little supervision, and ability to work in a team environment.
Equipment/Machines Used Specific Job Skills (eg. computer skills, communication, motivation, organizational skills)
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Activity/Requirements
- Walking, sitting, lifting < 50 lbs.

Pay: From $19.91 per hour
