The Regional Sales Director, Central provides leadership, direction and resource management for all sales functions throughout the assigned territory. The sales leader will be accountable for creating, modifying, and executing a sales plan, strategically aligning sales resources by appropriately and profitably achieving sales goals in assigned territory.
Management
- Distributor Partner Relationships
- Present depletion and accounts sold goals to distributor for fiscal year
- Establish market price structure to align with competitive brand set and optimize profits
- Create target accounts by key segment in line with overall company strategy
- Create local marketing plan based on market behavior and compliance
- Create distributor sales programs based on distributor’s internal policies
- Manage sales spend to ensure depletion goal is met within assigned budget
- Engage with distributor’s Management and Sales Team on ongoing basis
- Conduct quarterly, semi-annual and end of fiscal reviews and planning sessions
- Maintain state price grids (price structure with distributors)
- Assist Marketing Team and Distributor in execution of national marketing programs to grow distribution, volume, revenue and market share throughout the assigned Market
- Accountable for tracking all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure the mutual success of Supplier and Distributor including quarterly financial review with company’s CFO
- Work with the supply chain management team to ensure accurate forecasts and inventory levels
- Assist administrative team in maintenance of data files on depletions, shipments, customer segmentation, pricing, and trade marketing activities (distributor programming)
- Market Activity
- Call On and Activate Key Accounts
- Create special programs for Key Accounts in accordance with state compliance
- Survey the market to ensure that distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, menus and ads are executed to standard
Requirements
- Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or Graduate Degree Preferred (MBA, MS or equivalent curriculum) Note: Sufficient and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements.
- 7+ years of experience in Sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Must be a team player
- Nimble thinker
- Ability to work in “white space areas” where processes are being defined, tested, and improved in real time.
- Possess a solid, flexible workability, exhibit a positive problem-solving attitude, with a sense of team and desire to function well in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment is critical to success at Lobos 1707
- This is a salaried position, and the critical nature of this job may require extended hours, evenings, and weekends.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
