Line Technician Job at Baldwin EMC
Baldwin Electric Membership Corporation (Baldwin EMC) is looking to add a Line Technician to our growing team of dynamic operations professionals. In this highly visible and supported role, you’ll carry out overhead and underground line construction, operation, and maintenance of electric distribution systems.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
In this highly visible role, you will:
- Carry out overhead and underground line construction, operation, and maintenance of electric distribution systems.
- Work with field crews to ensure safe work practices are always followed.
- Perform three-phase line construction, framing, pole setting and wire stringing.
- Perform hot-line work and secondary circuits with little supervision.
- Make common connections on distribution transformer, meter/loops and primary circuits.
- Check voltages and determine proper operation technical equipment.
- Follow maps and routine instructions in specification and staking sheet responsibilities.
- Climb poles readily and work satisfactorily on poles in routine construction as supervised.
- Operate digger derrick and bucket truck as assigned.
- Assist journeyman line technicians on bucket trucks and support for the Cooperative.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification in apprenticeship school.
- Class A CDL license, first aid and CPR certifications.
- Three (3) to four (4) years' prior experience.
- Experience in operation of equipment such as trucks, bucket, derrick, and line equipment.
