Job Description:

We are looking for a self-motived individual who will thrive in a new environment. The Line Cook position would be full-time work under the supervision and direction of our Chef de Cuisine and our Tasting Room Manager. They will help with food preparations and service while ensuring everything meets our specifications and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to expedite orders quickly and accurately.
  • Available to work a varied schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Able to follow instructions and directions accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure that all food handling and safety guidelines are being followed.
  • Physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time
  • Professionalism in appearance, demeanor, with good team skills and communication.
  • Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Internal compass for integrity, personal responsibility, honesty, and the ability to make good choices.
  • Result-oriented; people with a high EQ, good common sense.

Duties and Responsibilities: (include the following, but not limited to)

  • Assist with basic daily prep needs.
  • Standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
  • Ability to operate the kitchen when our Chef de Cuisine is not available.
  • Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of kitchen/catering operations.
  • Keeps kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organized. · Work at events as needed (both onsite and offsite).
  • Provide service and additional help to the Tasting Room team when necessary.
  • Sets excellent customer service and work standards.
  • Actively interacts and engages with the front-of-house team.
  • Actively interacts and engages with customers (when time allows).
  • Communicates daily with Management.
  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the management team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience as a prep cook in a fast-paced work environment.
  • 1 year of Kitchen and/or Tasting Room experience preferred.
  • Valid WA Food handler & MAST Permits (Required)
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Compensation:

  • Full-time hourly.
  • Hourly wage would be $18 per hour plus tips (anywhere from $5-$10 extra per hour from tip pool).
