LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW) (Traumatic Brain Injury Program)

SITE OF SERVICE:

• Naval Hospital Twenynine Palms - Bridgeport, CA
• Traumatic Brain Injury Program
• Part-Time Position 2 days per week

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Education: Graduate from an MSW program accredited by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE).
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience:

• Possess experience with provision of care for the following diagnoses: Depression and Dysthymia; Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); Anxiety; Insomnia; Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD); Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD); Addiction; and Marital Discord. The HCW should be able to perform Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of PTSD and be familiar with Traumatic Brain Injury.
• LCSW candidate must possess a minimum of two (2) years of full-time post-licensure experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker within the preceding four (4) years.

• Licensure: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Island.
• U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen
• English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

• 16 hours each week, any 2 days Monday - Friday, between the hours of 0730-1800 for an 8.5 hour shift to include an uncompensated 30 minute meal break.
• Services will not be required on Federal Holidays.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
