Legal Assistant
Peak Law is looking for the right person to join our Corporate & Business Transactions / Estate Planning & Trusts Law Firm.
Legal Assistant position duties will include:
- Act as gatekeeper and organizational whiz for managing partner,
- Conduct initial client in-take and gather detailed information for attorneys,
- Perform administrative duties (calendar events and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, work with clients).
- Aid attorneys with document preparation and delivery to government offices, other law firms and clients.
- Liaise between attorneys and internal/external third parties.
- Provide assistance with Estate Plans.
- Prepare drafts of legal correspondence.
- Organize all legal documents in a confidential way.
The right person will be:
- A strong communicator (written & verbal),
- Positive and confident,
- Attentive to detail,
- Word, Excel, Adobe and Internet savvy,
- Persistent,
- Organized with the ability to juggle priorities, and
- Discerning.
This is a newly added position due to the firm’s growth. This team member will work closely with 3 Attorneys and a Paralegal. We see ourselves as close group here at Peak Law and we are looking for the next valued team member to join us.
