Landscape Maintenance Operator Job at Blakley Landscape Service, Inc.
Job Description:
General Landscape maintenance with a crew of 3-4 others.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Turf mowing using walk behind or riding mowers
- Trim, edge, and blow using weed-eaters, blowers and other hand tools
- Install flowers and other plant materials
- Apply chemicals and fertilizers to areas as required
- Trim shrubs, remove weeds, and perform other maintenance tasks to improve/ maintain property appearance
- Apply mulch and pine needles
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in grounds maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment following all company safety regulations
Environmental Factors
Work site conditions may include noise, dust, equipment exhaust, hazardous materials, outdoor weather conditions; may be required to wear protective clothing; substantial travel; position requires strenuous physical work including heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of heavy objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 Year Landscape experience required
- Must posses valid ND Drivers License
- Must be able to read and understand chemical labels and follow application and handling
- High school diploma or GED preferred
