The Construction Core team supports all of Haskell’s delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. C-core is responsible for providing the field management personnel starting with the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. C-Core also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. C-Core provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists with working your way up through the ranks, you’ll find new ways to use both your mind and your hands to get the job done.

Joining Construction Core will enable you to build the buildings on which people depend; collaborating with your team to overcome obstacles and fix problems on the jobsite using your skills. Strong networks are formed on construction projects because everyone on the team depends on each and every team member to get the job done.

In this role, you will assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties, usually under close supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

  • May perform a variety of functions, such as digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, using pa ick and shovel
  • Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies
  • Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas
  • Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials, using hand tools
  • Joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe
  • Performs a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, placing culvert sections in a trench, assembling sections of dredge pipeline, removing wallpaper, and laying railroad track
  • Worker may spend time on one job or may be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma preferred

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Follow specific directions
  • Perform a variety of duties which may often change
  • Work within standards of accuracy
  • Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure and evaluate information using measurable standards

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
