JOB PURPOSE:

Performs general labor duties and painting property wide as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)

• Must have minimal knowledge of painting and building maintenance
• Significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training and/or on-the-job training preferred
• Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations.
• Should be able to read, write, and understand English.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to obtain and maintain Pala Gaming License

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assists in maintaining all cosmetic items in the casino
• Monitors work load and advises supervisor of work overload
• Assists engineering staff in repairs
• Maintains a neat, clean and organized work area in the engineering shop
• Prepares daily work forms
• Operates landscaping equipment, power sweeper and high pressure washer
• Responds to maintenance requests and house calls
• Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained
• Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)

• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Constantly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handling or feeling objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions
• Occasionally works in high, precarious places
• Occasionally exposed to extreme heat, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration and exposure to various chemicals used in the maintenance of the property
• Usually works in a moderate noise level environment
