The successful candidate will report directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and will ensure quality products and processes through testing and inspection at various stages of the production process. This is a full time position 40 hours per week, 5 days a week. The hours are Monday – Friday.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;**

• Performing the required testing of asphalt roofing shingles, rolled product and raw materials
• Collecting and compiling of samples at different stages in the production process to prepare physical analysis and reports
• Preparing basic laboratory reports by recording the necessary data on charts, graphs and forms to be used by the Quality Assurance Supervisor, Engineering Department, Superintendents and Plant Manager
• Following and adhering to Laboratory Quality Control SOPs and Quality Management System.
• Maintaining good record keeping practices and strict adherence to quality and safety programs
• Gathering relevant data as requested by the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Senior Manufacturing team to ensure quality standards are met
• Perform production and dock audits on a regular basis.
• Other projects and assignments related to research and quality assurance may be assigned
• Work with production and engineering on special projects as directed
• Maintain lab inventory levels of consumables.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Program: Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must possess a willingness to learn and the ability to follow instructions and take direction
• Experience in heavy manufacturing environment, strongly preferred, but not required
• Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment
• Possess solid problem solving and action planning skills
• Possess effective oral and written communication skills
• Possess the ability to make independent and sound decisions
• Possess solid interpersonal skills
• Must be able to walk and/or stand 75-100% of the shift
• Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lb bundles and items.
