Lab Technician Job at Banner Personnel
We are looking to hire skilled Laboratory Technicians to work for a food processing plant in St. Charles, IL. The Technicians will work in an office and plant setting. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
Working Hours: 5:30am to 2:30pm (Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays)
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00/hr
Position Summary:
- Conducts routine microbiology and/or chemistry tests according to established protocols.
- Analysis Preparation includes but is not limited to: proficiency testing, sample receiving; collecting and setting up samples for analysis, reading analysis results and documenting equipment performance
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Works with other departments to implement procedure changes, based on predetermined specifications, involving raw materials and finished goods to remedy the cause of any noncompliance as quickly as possible.
- High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS degree is a plus.
